Asperger Syndrome

Asperger Syndrome (AS) is a neurological disorder that is part of the Autism spectrum. It is characterized by difficulty in social interaction, repetitive behaviors, and difficulties in communication. People with AS have difficulty understanding the emotions and thoughts of others and have difficulty expressing their own emotions and thoughts. They may also have difficulty in nonverbal communication, such as understanding facial expressions and body language. People with AS often have a narrow range of interests and activities and may have an intense focus on a single topic. They may also have difficulty with motor skills, including handwriting, and may have a tendency to be clumsy. People with AS often have difficulty in understanding social rules and conventions and may have difficulty interpreting verbal and nonverbal communication.
