Orthopedic Onclogy

Orthopedic oncology is a subspecialty of orthopedics that deals with tumors of the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic oncologists are trained to diagnose and treat benign and malignant tumors of the bones, muscles, and soft tissues. Treatment may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and/or targeted therapy. In some cases, orthopedic oncologists may collaborate with medical oncologists or radiation oncologists for the best outcome for the patient.
